The
Great Work
|
|
The
Great Work is not the Trademark of any particular Mystery
Tradition, though some seem is to be eager to promote
it as such. The Great Work might not even be called "the
Great Work" by some. Its aims is to reunite the
self with the divine. This is summed up in the well known
magickal axiom used in many Western traditions:
"As Above, So Below"
Whenever I hear this I am also reminded of the instruction
I was given during an initiation I experienced:
"Bring it to Life, Bring it to Light, Bring it to
Love, Bring it to Truth"
To me this remains to be more important than one tradition
or creed and my personal Work reflects this - I honour
those who have gone before me, I honour my duties in the
traditions I serve in, whilst I also continue to bring
into fruition the creation of my Work - through the very
actions of that instruction : By bringing it to life,
bringing it to Light, Bringing it to Love and Bringing
it to Truth.
